Reflections

10/2/12 I was exacted for observing the first class at the school. Teacher and students were friendly with me. I observed two groups of fifth grades for around one hour and forty minutes. At the end of the class I was talking with the teacher and I suggested that she should say pay attention instead of put attention. She gave me the thanks to correct her. She said: “the positive feedback is good for me I like the people tool me what I made wrong to correct it” 17/2/12 Today I was observing three groups the students feel comfortable with me; they ask me questions about pronunciation words 20/2/12 Today was my first day given a class, students enjoy the class. It was warn up excesses to meet all the students. Also I have some problems with the management of the class. I notice that some students like the activity and some of them did not like it. I covered this activity with two groups, because the school was making arrangement for schedules. They asked me a question about why you are there? Did you study at High school? I had t o clarify that I was not at high school. 24/2/12 We continued warn up activity, because it was some changes for schedules. I had a struggle with one student he didn’t want participate and ignored me during and talking to him. I was extremely mad. Also I had problems with the management of the class. I noticed that the group 5-D had problems with misbehavior. 29/2/12 Students loved Mr. Smile; they wanted play with it every time. The alphabet activity was great students work in groups and enjoys this activity. I was happy with this activity, because student did not use the dictionary to find words. Students by themselves were so creative. The best group to show a good behavior was the 5C. They really enjoyed the activity and work as well. 07/3/12 Today we made a practice for the oral exam. I was circulating around the class to clarify doubts. They were so creative and enjoy the activity. 14/3/12 Today we worked on the book. Today it was amazing the group 5-D worked correctly. They were following the instruction and students C worked with any problem. Today there was not a misbehave problems. It was an improvement for me and for them. I was so happy for this reaction. I notice that students needed be busy a lot of work control their misbehave problems. Also I have to solve a problem with a student, he got mad because other students take his chair, and he went to the corner of the classroom to cry. I spoke with him about this situation and he stopped to cry. After that, he did the practices on the books, and forgot the struggle with his classmate. 16/3/12 This topic was difficult for the students. I could finish the class in one lesson. In Wednesday 19th and Friday 21st we worked with this lesson plan. In 19 we continue the explanation and the students did the practice and check it. I was focused on the explanation that I forgot check the homework of the illness, so in 21st I checked the homework and we finish the work sheet. Also in 19th I had to record the lesson and again I have problems with the management of the class. 23/3/12 Students love this activity, they sing the song. Students apply their cooperative skills. Students will be encouraged to pay attention. It was thing that concerned there was a student who didn’t like in group. I tried to the others students included him in the activity, but he move his desk and sat down alone, I was so sad because h couldn’t enjoy the activity .This activity was long for that reason it took a two lesson of 45 minutes . 28/3/12 In this activity the students had developing their writing skills. They feel comfortable with the activity, they liked to participate and be activity student. The management of the classroom was improvement but it was enough. 30/3/12 Today was my last day of teaching. I brought candy to all groups .I felt sad to say goodbye .the activity rums normally the behavior was ok, but it was enough. The students hug me and begging to please did leave them. One of the students to the 5A wrote me a letter. At the end of the class I cried.
